God continues to open doors for Kids in Discipleship, In Discipleship trainings, The Call of Elijah, and Back to the Altar revival events far and near. Don MacLafferty and his team of trainers and volunteers are currently partnering with churches and ministries across the globe, as well as with the General Conference Ministerial Association and the General Conference Children's Ministries Department. We praise the Lord for the ways in which He is blessing and leading this faith organization. Hundreds of thousands of hours in trainings and travel, as well as books, resources, Bibles, and time have been given as gifts to the hungry and those in need. And as we give, God keeps giving more! We may grow weary, but God never grows weary, and His storehouse never runs dry. We can never out-give the Lord!

This past year we've filmed over a hundred videos and short illustrations to help teach the principles of Back to the Altar and what it means to be a disciple of Jesus. Some of these videos can be found on this website, or the General Conference's www.backtothealtar.org website. More videos will be released in the near future.

We are thankful for God's leaders in the General Conference and throughout the world church and are honored to get to support them in the great mission of sharing the gospel and helping people prepare for Jesus soon coming.
A new disciple-making school in remote North Zambia called Elim Secondary Adventist School was opened in 2021. The 67 hectare property was donated by the local African chief who pleaded for the Seventh-day Adventists to build a school there to educate the children of his kingdom. One hundred teachers gathered at Elim to be equipped with the new Schools In Discipleship Field Manual to make their schools disciple-making schools for Jesus. Now the Secretary of Education for the nation of Zambia is requesting that we equip all the government and private schools of the nation to be disciple-making schools for Jesus Christ!
"God called me to disciple the students to be disciple-makers for Jesus and to equip the faculty families to call for revival in their own homes. Students returned to Christ. They surrendered to Jesus as Lord, studied the written Word of God daily, and asked for and received the baptism of the Holy Spirit. God sent out many students in person or via Zoom to call churches and villages to an end time revival with Jesus! Students discipled their classmates to Christ as well as unbelieving family members and friends.
One student who was known across the campus as a hardened atheist watched his classmates being transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit. He began coming to the early morning meetings. He sat at the extreme back of the outdoor amphitheater and listened day after day to his classmates as they testified of the love of Christ to call them to repentance and free them from hate, bitterness, and addictions. One of my last days there he slowly stood up and asked to have the microphone. The students gasped. Some hoped that I would refuse his request – because he had a reputation of making Christians to look like fools.
He stood before his classmates in the early morning and stared at the ones he had ridiculed over the years. You could have heard a pin drop. He cleared his throat and declared, “For many days I have listened to your testimonies of how Jesus Christ has changed your life. But more than that I have watched how your lives have changed on campus. I have seen your peace, your love for others, and your love for me — and today I choose to believe in Christ as my Savior! I choose to be baptized! In a few days I will go home and testify to my atheist father that the One he taught me does not exist lives in my heart, that Jesus has changed my life. I will ask my father to believe!”
Testimony by Don MacLafferty from his time at AUP
God continued to open doors in November 2019 to equip leaders with the tools of this ministry in Alberta, Canada. Training focused on more than information giving! The highest priority is to disciple the potential champion to have a daily, transformational walk with God that becomes “catchable” to the new generations. Next we equip them to call children, youth and adults to revival in the churches. Finally, we equip them to intentionally equip parents/mentors to disciple the children and teens.
The In Discipleship ministry partnered with the Southern Asia-Pacific Division in training trainers to equip schools to be intentional in discipling. Training was conducted in Manado, Indonesia in September 4-13, 2018.
Here's a few memories of our discipling the new generations in Seim Reap, and equipping teams to partner with home, school and church in discipling children and youth.
Four leadership teams consisting of students, parents, teachers, pastors and principals met twice for training in how to partner to disciple the children and youth through the home, school, and church. This was a pioneering project and the third and fourth training sessions were conducted in January and April in Brasilia, Brazil in 2017.
